Silken Tofu Gochujang Rice Bowl

As a vegan, most of my restaurant trips end up in frustration by the lack of variety in vegan food options. I am a big foodie, so I keep searching for restaurants with more vegan options, and then I learned about Wagamama, where they have a whole vegan menu. So I decided to give it a try.

Silken Tofu Gochujang Rice Bowl was the first dish I tried at Wagamama, and it was perfect. A bowl made with the combination of soft and creamy tofu, aromatic steamed rice, crunchy veggies, sweet and spicy Korean chilli sauce known as gochujang sauce,  sesame seed, and peanuts on top.

  • Peas
  • Corn
  • Red Onion
  • Green onions
  • Sesame seeds 
  • Fried
  • Rice vinegar

  • Cook the rice.
  • Prepare gochujang sauce by adding ginger, sesame oil, garlic, oil, soy sauce, honey, and gochujang. The amount of these ingredients should be according to your taste and liking. 
  • Marinate your tofu in half of the gochujang sauce you’ve prepared earlier and leave it for half an hour.
  • Take a pan, add a very small amount of oil, and fry your marinated tofu until it is crispy and golden brown.
  • Then sauté your vegetables until they are crispy.
  • Take a serving plate, place rice, and add the tofu on top of the rice. On the side, place all the vegetables and sprinkle sesame seeds and spring onions.
